Hi everyone, today we continue sharing some great presentation skills that will help you own any room.
Speakers who have truly mastered presentation skills, understand the power of crafting and delivering their messages to the masses as though they were meant and intended for each and every single individual attendee – personally crafted messages that resonate with each person uniquely, making them feel as though they were being spoken to directly.
The last thing (THE LAST THING) you can’t afford to do when building your presentation is squeeze in ‘weasel words’ that lump your audience in with one another.
Instead of saying “all of you” just say “everyone”, and make sure that your eye contact, tonality, and voice inflection are on point to really hammer home that you are having an intimate conversation with them – and only then – even though the reality is they are all lost in a sea of faces.
If your presentation is in a smaller venue or in front of a dozen or more people, it’s definitely worthwhile to figure out who is your ‘person of great influence’, the single audience member that will have the most sway or control over the reception of your presentation, and spend just a little bit more time – without making it obvious – on them.
These little nuances work wonders in unlocking your real presentation skills.
