It’s the Anniversary of Be The Voice Academy and we are continuing our series on Presentation Skills that will help you own any room.
This week, we begin our focus on presentation skills that will help you own any room and help you keep any audience engaged.
Keep it tight across the board
It’s of the utmost importance that you keep your message and your presentation just as tight and lean as humanly possible across the board. Less is MORE!
Too often, speakers get up and anticipate presenting for a specific block of time or presenting a specific chunk of information, only to get swept up in the emotional response of a favorable audience – and then they run the risk of running long. Remember, Less is MORE!
Nothing can cripple a powerful speech or presentation more than keeping your audience glued to a chair for longer than they will be comfortable – Less is MORE!
Don’t ramble, don’t meander, and don’t lose focus – instead, keep your eye on the prize, keep things tight, and move forward just as efficiently as you can. The trick is to be effective, interesting and captivating without overstaying you welcome – Less is MORE!
In show business, they say, “keep them wanting more”. It is no different for any presentation. Less is MORE!
Stay tuned for more tips and tricks on Presentation Skills that will help you own any room.
