Well it’s the last weekend before we welcome in the Year of the Goat. And what a great year it’s going to be. The last presentation skills tip in my blogpost before the new year is going to focus on the voice because we need to remember that Your Voice IS your Message.
Many people feel that beautiful slides, good animations, being well dresses is key to a successful presentation. Nothing could be further from the truth. While these are important, here at Be The Voice Academy, we firmly believe that it is the voice that is the key to a successful presentation.
Your voice IS your message
When you are speaking publicly, we not only need to remember that Your Voice IS your Message, but your voice is also your currency.
You’re going to need to do absolutely everything you can to not only make sure that you are loud enough for everyone to hear and enunciating your words perfectly so everyone understands EXACTLY what you’re saying, but you also need to make sure that your tonality is right, that your emotional inflection is perfect, and that your voice commands the room and draws attention.
This is not your everyday voice.
It’s probably a good idea to speak with some professionals about how to craft a powerful presentation voice to give yourself a little bit of a head start on the process.
Just remember that while presenting your Voice IS your message, and you’ll do just fine.
