If you’ve ever watched an American presidential debate right before the big election, you’ve probably noticed that regardless of the questions that are being asked of these individuals running for the ‘top job’, they always find a way to come right back around to the foundation of their platform – and continue to hammer those points home with incredible repetition.
They aren’t doing that because it doesn’t work. It is no different when it comes to preparing for your DSA interview.
And while it’s unlikely that your DSA interview preparation is going to quite prepare you for the kind of questions that presidential candidates receive, it’s a good idea to ‘steal’ this concept and really make it your own.
For your DSA interview, find at least one and at most two foundational points that you really want your interviewers to know about you (your trustworthiness, your seriousness about your studies, your excitement for the field, etc., etc.) and then find ways to bring questions directed at you full circle so that you’re always talking from a place of confidence.
