We’ve all been there. There have been times where we had to sit through talks, or lectures, or seminars, where the speaker could not engage his or her audience at all. Such things were a chore to sit through. We often fell asleep during such events.
However, it’s also safe to say that for many of us, we have been to events where the speaker was engaging. For those of us who have had such a privilege, it certainly was a delight to attend that talk, or to sit through that seminar. Even if the event went on for hours, we’d still be able to sit through it, because it engaged our minds and drew our attention. We’d be interested in what the speaker had to say.
All of us have the ability to engage our audience with our voices. Your voice can show others how passionate you are about a particular topic. It has the power to change people’s perceptions on certain ideas. However, in order to do all of this, we need to challenge ourselves to step out of our comfort zones. We need to dare to express ourselves in front of others. We need to pay particular attention to the way we articulate our words. And most importantly, we need to put in the time to practice!
It’s amazing what our voice can do for us. Your voice is truly your jewel, and the most important tool in your arsenal. During this time, where our world has come to a stand-still, and many of us find that we have a lot more time on our hands, do consider investing in your voice. In doing so, you will learn how to engage your audience with your voice, and this will ensure that people remember you for being a great speaker. This will increase your chances of making your dreams a reality.
