Happy Friday everyone! Presenting or public speaking is never an easy task. There are really so many aspects of presentation skills that we need to look into. Today, we continue on our quest to help our presenters and public speakers by giving tips that will help you hone your presentation skills and own any room.
You Can’t Always be Super Energetic
It’s absolutely impossible to have any kind of presentation run for any longer than five minutes on ‘full-power’ as far as your energy level is concerned.
On top of that, when you run wide-open and really supercharge the entirety of your message (especially with the tone of your voice and the way you craft your words) you run the risk of burning out your audience if you try to push them for too long. When it comes to presentation skills, you need to have the knacks that will help you moderate your power, energy and enthusiasm.
Tell Stories
Instead, embrace the fact that all great stories have high points, low points, and ‘reference scenes’, and try to incorporate those concepts into your presentation.
Bring stories to life with your tonality, then drop things down when you’re presenting ‘dry information’, only to ramp things back up later on to get them red-hot once again.
A person with good presentation skills is able to become like a roller coaster and be in complete and total control.
